Boat Dock Inspection Scope

This boat dock inspection is a limited, visual, non-invasive evaluation. The inspection is restricted to components that are visible, accessible, and above the waterline at the time of assessment. No structural disassembly, destructive testing, underwater inspection, or removal of materials was performed unless explicitly stated in this report.

Limitations & Exclusions

The inspector’s observations are based on conditions present at the time of the inspection, which may change rapidly due to weather, tides, fluctuating water levels, vessel activity, wear, biological decay, or other natural forces. Submerged or concealed components, including but not limited to pilings, fasteners, flotation devices, anchoring systems, electrical conduits, and mechanical equipment, cannot be fully assessed and may contain defects not detectable during a visual inspection.

This inspection does not constitute a structural engineering analysis, a verification of code or regulatory compliance, a safety certification, or a warranty—express or implied—regarding the future performance or condition of the dock. The inspector and inspection company shall not be responsible for defects that were not visible, were concealed, or occurred after the inspection date.

All findings in this report represent the inspector’s professional opinion, not a guarantee. Any concerns noted should be evaluated further by qualified specialists, which may include a marine contractor, structural engineer, electrician familiar with waterfront systems, diver, or boat-lift technician. Buyers and sellers are encouraged to act promptly on any recommendations, as timely evaluation and repair may influence property safety, usability, and value.
