- As new homeowners, yardwork will likely be in your future, whether you do the work yourself or hire work done. Whenever digging more than a few inches, there are jurisdictional requirements to call Location Services for the area of work to be marked for the presence/absence of water lines, gas lines, tanks and electrical components. Failure to call Location Services (811) can be costly and result in serious injury or even death.
